BY CREATING AN ACCOUNT, ACCESSING, AND/OR USING THE BACKUPBOX CLOUD APPLICATION OR WEBSITE, YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH IN THIS TERMS OF SERVICE AGREEMENT. PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU OR, AS APPLICABLE, YOUR LEGAL GUARDIAN, DISAGREE TO ANY TERM PROVIDED HEREIN, YOU MAY NOT ACCESS AND/OR USE THE SERVICES AND ARE REQUESTED TO PROMPTLY TERMINATE YOUR ACCOUNT.
Users are solely responsible for all content uploaded, stored, or processed on their account. You may not upload, share, or store content that is illegal, defamatory, promotes violence, contains malware, or violates any third-party intellectual property or copyright laws. Hosting or sharing pirated files, illegal software, or unlicensed media is strictly prohibited and constitutes grounds for immediate account suspension without refund.
BackupBox Cloud utilizes a closed, private architecture. All uploaded files, documents, and media are completely private by default and restricted solely to the account owner. Public indexing, hosting of public directories, or publishing searchable cyberlocker links is strictly prohibited. Any link-sharing is entirely peer-to-peer, initiated and controlled directly by the account owner using secure temporary tokens.
Certain services (Premium, Essential, and Classic Plans) are billed on a subscription basis. You will be billed in advance on a recurring and periodic cycle (monthly or annually) depending on the plan selected during checkout. All subscriptions are set to auto-renew automatically under the same terms unless cancelled. Auto-renewal charges will occur at the start of each renewal period using the payment method saved on file.
Users may cancel their recurring subscriptions at any time. To cancel, go to your Account Settings or Subscription page and click "Manage Billing / Cancel" which redirects you to the secure Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation will stop future auto-renewals; your account will remain premium until the end of your current active billing cycle.
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe any material stored on BackupBox Cloud infringes a copyright, you may submit a notice of infringement to our agent at info@backupbox.com. Upon receiving a valid DMCA teardown request, we will promptly delete or restrict access to the infringing material and notify the owner of the account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our Acceptable Use policy, Terms of Service, or engage in suspicious payment activity. Upon deletion or termination of your account, all files stored in your cloud directory will be permanently erased from our active servers.
BackupBox Cloud is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we shall not be liable for any loss of files, data corruption, or damages resulting from unauthorized account access or service interruptions. Users are advised to maintain backups of critical files.
If you have any questions, disputes, or inquiries regarding these Terms of Service, please reach out to us at info@backupbox.com.
